This is not a gothic cathedral; it’s an older Romanesque style. St Bernard is said to have advocated the initiation of the third Crusade from its steps in the 13th century. It’s perched at the end of a bluff in the Central Massif of France. Below in the coulee alongside a small creek is a Michelin starred restaurant. Except the designated buyer of the meal, the menus have no prices-kinda cool; the more so since I wasn’t the designated buyer that evening. Whew:-)
